The Chiltern Traction Engine Club was founded in 1961, to bring people
together interested in preservation of historic vehicles and many more.
The club and rally has grown over the years and we offer a wide range of exhibits and displays to entertain the whole family.
The club holds our rally every year on the 1st full weekend in July. We put on a fun packed weekend, displaying around 260 exhibits and entertainment for all ages.
The rally is spread out over 1 field, which includes market stalls - craft stands - childrens fun fair - food stands - working demonstrations with timber cutting, thrashing and stone crushing
- traction engines - commercials vehicles - tractors - vintage motorbikes - classic cars - stationary engines - models and miniatures and many more.
On both days there is a chance to see impressive steam engines and motor vehicles moving under their
own power during the main arena events between 10am and 3pm.
Please see the rally page for more details
We always welcome new members to our club.
If you have an interest in preservation, come along to our club nights or help out at the rally.
Any knowledge, experience and assistance towards the club, will help us grow and would be very much appreciated, so come along.
At our club nights we meet at 8pm on the first friday of every month. We organise a variety of talks or film shows, on all subjects and interests. To find out what is coming up, please
look in the Club n
News and Events.
Meetings will be held in the barn rooms of the Amersham Community Centre, located on the left hand side of the leisure centre car park (shown on image below). The car parks are camera controlled but are switched off after 6pm so no tickets are required.
