The Chiltern Traction Engine Club was founded in 1961, to bring people
together interested in preservation of historic vehicles and many more.
The club and rally has grown over the years and we offer a wide range of exhibits and displays to entertain the whole family.
The club hold their rally every year at Prestwood in Buckinghamshire, on the 1st full weekend in July. We put on a fun packed weekend, displaying around 260 exhibits and entertainment for all ages.
The rally is spread out over 3 fields. This includes market stalls - craft stands - childrens fun fair - food stands - working demonstrations with timber cutting, thrashing and stone crushing - traction engines - commercials vehicles - tractors - vintage motorbikes - classic cars - stationary engines - models and miniatures and many more.
On both days there is a chance to see impressive steam engines and motor vehicles moving under their own power during the main arena events between 10am and 3pm.
Please see the rally page for more details
We always welcome new members to our club.
If you have an interest in preservation, come along to our club nights or help out at the rally.
Any knowledge, experience and assistance towards the club, will help us grow and would be very much appreciated, so come along.
At our club nights we meet at 8pm on the first friday of every month. We organise a variety of talks or film shows, on all subjects and interests. To find out what is coming up, please look in the Club news and Events section.

It is with great sadness that Ian Woollett, a long-term member, has passed away. Ian was a very talented engineer and fond of all steam.
Ian Woollett's funeral will be held at Chiltern Crematorium on Monday 8th July at 4.15pm.
Help is always required throughout the year to make our rally great.
If you think you can help the club and the rally by volunteering a few hours of your time to help either; marshall the exhibits, setting up the rally site, or as pay lane assistant, any help is greatly recieved.
If you think you can help the club and the rally in any way, please contact us. Thank you.
